FAQ – Diamond Dent Company

What is “PDR”?

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), is a method of removing minor dents and dings without removing any paint from the vehicle. This is done by using specialized tools to slowly massage the dent out from the back of the panel, or in instances where there is no access to the backside of the panel, glue pulling methods are used.

Will the dents come back?

Absolutely not! After the dents have been removed using paintless dent repair they will never come back. Unlike conventional repairs that use plastic body filler and primer that can shrink down and show a ring around the repaired area, paintless dent repair will repair your damage once and for all with no issues later on down the road. This is why we have a 100% satisfaction guarantee!

What are the benefits of paintless dent repair?

The most important benefit is quality. Our skilled technicians can repair your vehicle so that it’s like the dent was never there. Unlike conventional repairs that require grinding, sanding, plastic body fillers, and primers that can shrink over time, PDR keeps your factory paint intact. You won’t have to worry about the repair failing like a conventional repair and your vehicles value won’t be diminished. Time savings is yet another advantage. PDR takes a fraction of the time a conventional body shop would require you to leave your vehicle. Small dents can be repaired while you wait and most hail damage can be completed in 2-3 days. This is not only a nice convenience but it will also keep any rental car charges down that your insurance provider may not cover.

Do you drill holes in my vehicle?

Absolutely not! It has become common practice by many Paintless Dent Repair technicians to drill or punch holes in places like door frames, quarter panel jambs, inner wheelhouse panels, etc. to gain access to a dent with their tools. Most of the time, the customer is not even informed of this. This not only allows corrosion to begin, it also greatly reduces the value of your vehicle.

Will my paint be scratched or damaged?

No. Today’s factory paints are very flexible and will not be damaged in any way by this process. PDR is the only way to repair a dent and still keep your factory paint intact.
