Arrowroot is made by grinding the thick rhizomes into a starchy white powder that is used as a culinary and cosmetic thickening agent. This is a soothing nutritious food. In some tropical countries Arrowroot is applied to snake and insect bites and arrow wounds. This is believed to be the origin of the name.ÊSuggested Use: Arrowroot makes a great thickener for sauces, gravies and puddings. Use it in place of Wheat Flour or Cornstarch.
